Package: offlineimap
Version: 4.0.7
Severity: wishlist
Hello,
I have a very nice offlineimap setup, and I now would like to be able to
painlessly create, rename and delete folders, be it on the master
archive or in the local archive.
I understand this is hard to do automatically. However, it would be
a nice (temporary?) solution to add specific commands to offlineimap to
do that, such as in:
# Create and empty debian-user folder, both in the local and in the
# remote archives
offlineimap mkfolder debianuser
# Rename a folder, both in the local and in the remote archives
offlineimap rename debianuser debian-user
# Delete a folder, both in the local and in the remote archives
# Complain, and refuse to work, if the folder is not empty and an
# option like '--force' is not provided
offlineimap remove debian-user
With these commands, I couldn't mess with mail folders comfortably using
my mail client, but at least I'd have a handy way to restructure my
folder layout respecting offlineimap's metadata.
Bye,
Enrico
