Hello,
As french speaker, I often type texts in that language, and I
definitively need the help of flyspell to do it right. The problem is
that when I move the cursor on a word with accentuated letters, it does
use those chars as word boundary. That is to say that on the word
'expérience', it tries to check 'exp' and 'rience' separately, which naturally
leads to false positives.
The most puzzeling point is that when I go in the middle of the word, and
retype the 'é', it works and from there on, and the next time the cursor moves
on that word, I have no problem.
I was suspecting an encoding issue, but the fact that pushed me to report the
problem is that I discovered that if I open a buffer, run flyspell-buffer, it
works, ie, it uses the right word boundary and don't stupidly report
'expérience' as wrong. But, if I move the cursor on it after, it still becomes
crazy. Reruning flyspell-buffer afterward does not help. Neither does editing
other parts of the word. I have to retype the accent.
I'm not sure where the issue may come from since I'm so bad in elisp, but from
what I see, flyspell have a different boundary detection algorithm depending on
the fact that we are moving the cursor or checking the buffer, and the first
one is badly internationalized.
Why retyping the accent helps is a /real/ mystery for me.
Thanks, Mt.
