Package: procps
Version: 1:3.2.8-9squeeze1

An extract from the output of `man kill` reads:
-l, --list [signal]
List signal names. This option has optional argument, which will
convert signal number to signal name, or other way round.
-L, --table
List signal names in a nice table.

However, `kill -L` outputs "bash: kill: L: invalid signal specification" to
stderr. The related `kill -l` works as desired.

The bash in the error message is your clue, there is a builtin kill
command and that doesn't have -L

Not sure if you are using reportbug or not but it should of warned you
about this (it's a pretty common mistake).
