I convert whole album wav files into a large mp3 file using lame
I then split the mp3 file using mp3splt and a cue file
with version 2.2.5-1 no ID3 tags are written to the split mp3 files. Even
if option -2 is invoked
with older version 2.1c-4 ID3v1 tags are written correctly
mp3splt -2 -f -a -c /path-to-cue/file.cue largefile.mp3
