i opened at mozilla.
In every mail written with icedove the text is wrapped at 65 characters.
Again i must find out that this bug only exists in icedove and not in
thunderbird.
I respect the reasons for the special version of thunderbird now named icedove,
but
it is not good if there are some bugs or unexpected errors in the normal usage.
It is now the second bug i opened at thunderbird which belongs to icedove only.
So i really think about using the original thunderbird instead.
But it would be better to have a 64bit version of icedove running without such
problems.

Did you check the settings of 'mailnews.wraplength' ?
The default should be set to 72 characters.
In the actual versions (squeeze and wheezy) I can change this settings
to what ever I want and icedove works well. So I will close this bug.
If you still have problems please start a new bugreport for the current
version you use.
