Package: acpi-support-base
Version: 0.140-4
Severity: critical

This report serves as a reminder to not release with 0.140-[1234].

A change to getXuser made in 0.140 makes getXuser fail completely without
the calling function noticing. The reason is that $IFS get changed and not
changed back breaking the subsequent for loopand thus not identifying the user
logged into X. Depending on the environment this makes acpi-support not realize
other power managers running, resulting in unexpected and/or double execution
of power management functions.

   * Rewrote getXuser in power-funcs to only use ck-list-sessions if installed,
if not fallback to using pinky instead. This enables us to downgrade
consolekit to a recommendation instead of a dependency. (Closes: #665987)
   * Unset IFS after using it to make other commands use standard setting again.
