Installing targetcli from wheezy on a non-gui system will fetch a lot of
gui-related libs, fonts, x11, tex, ...
This is probably due to some unfortunate dependency of targetcli.

No. Not really.
targetcli depends on python-configshell
python-configshell depends on python-epydoc
python-epydoc Recommends ghostscript, python-tk, python-docutils,
texlive-latex-base, texlive-latex-extra, texlive-latex-recommended,
texlive-fonts-recommended, graphviz
You simply just need to instruct apt to not install the recommends. I am
closing this bug report. If you disagree, feel free to justify and
re-open it.
