Package: kompozer
Version: 1:0.8~b3.dfsg.1-0.1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream
There is a bug in the kompozer editor, which causes a failure as follows:
kompozer newfoo.html
This should create a new document named newfoo.html and open it ready for
editing. However, the following behaviour is exhibited.
A warning occurs that the file cannot be found:
Alert! The file /home/foo/newfoo.html cannot be found. Please check the
location and try again.
Clicking the OK button now produces a blank page on the editor, but there is
no input cursor, and the editor is unable to take input.
The warning should be reworded as follows: The file /home/foo/newfoo.html
cannot be found. This will be created as a new document.
Clicking OK, should then proceed to create a new document, and a cursor should
be available within the document, enabling the required contents of the page
to be entered.
There should also be a cancel button, which returns the editor into choose a
document mode, allowing the user to choose a document for opening.
