The kompozer tool does not allow creation of a link to a folder. The browse
tool has an "open" button, rather than a "select" button. Clicking on the
open button, causes the folder to open, rather than be selected for linking.
It may sometimes be desirable to create the link to a folder (allowing URLs
to end in a slash symbol). The web server may subsequently provide the
default name. Additionally, the folder may have been created, but the pages
within it may not (we are still "kompozing" the website, as we are editing
this page). It is useful to be able to link to the folder here.
