Subject: ddclient: special caracters in password

Package: ddclient
Version: 3.6.2-2
Severity: normal
File: /usr/sbin/ddclient

The ddclient scripts espects a configuration file whose lines are
either in the form

opt=value,opt=value...

or in the form

host [login [password]]

When reading a configuration line, the script performs some editing on
it:

1. supressing leading withespace
2. supressing trailing withespace
3. handle \\n style continuation lines.
4. splitting lines at commas.

In this editing, a field of the form

password=something

is treated as any other field. This should not be so, infact a
password may contains withespaces, commas and other funny things
(mine contains a comma). If it is the case, ddclient will be confused
and will not get the right password.

Everithing work right if the password is specified by a

host login password

line. I look and try to write a patch, but the only way I can see to
it is getting rid of multililine configuration options as well as
multiple options on the same line. Thios way, one can look at a line
and said 'well, this is the password, let us handle it differently'.
