Package: linux-installer
Version: squeeze installer
When conducting a netinstall via tftp on a PowerMac G4, yaboot loads.
However, the installer fails after I type "install" from the yaboot
prompt.
The error is:
can't read elf e_ident/e_type/e_machine info
I found a post[0] suggesting that the problem was with yaboot. Following
the suggestion, I replaced the yaboot which I had originally downloaded from
http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze/main/installer-powerpc/current/images/powerpc/netboot/
with yaboot that I downloaded from
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/releases/12/Fedora/ppc/os/ppc/mac/
and it worked.
