Package: qmail-src
Version: 1.03-19
Severity: wishlist

I endured much frustration today after installing this package over an
existing qmail install, running into trouble, subsequently removing the
existing install and users, reinstalling it, and then receiving the
following message:

Aug 1 18:11:48 demon qmail: 996653508.764553 alert: cannot start: unable to
switch to queue directory

It was only after stracing qmail-start that I realised a setuid call was
using the wrong UID and that I would have to recompile the package (although
as one who uses qmail religiously I really should have noticed this
earlier).

A check for existing users followed by one or more of:

a> an offer to delete
b> an offer to use existing
c> an offer to bail out

would probably be a GoodThing[TM]

Keep up the good work,

 - samj
