Try to change the prefs, and click any of the prefs items to change. The
sound stops, and the program hangs taking control of the mouse. You can
kill the process, but the screen is stuck in the resolution for
penguin-command, and you can't change it with the keyboard shortcuts.
I had to control+alt+backspace to reset :(
