Package: piuparts
Version: 0.40
Severity: wishlist
It'd nice if piuparts could check if packages shipping Python modules
byte-compile them. I.e., after the package is configured, for every
(well, almost[0]) .py file there should exist a .pyc file.
[0] Exceptions:
* /usr/share/doc/ should be excluded for obvious reasons.
* /usr/share/pyshared/, /usr/share/python-support/ should be excluded as
well - Python helpers use these directories for technical reasons, and
one is not supposed to import anything directly from them.
