Since one of the latest updates (two weeks ago or so), icedove is really dog slow on my PPC. It takes approx. 8 minutes to download ~200 message headers from dovecot IMAPd (out of 1200 new messages). Additionally it consumes >90% cpu time while downloading/sorting messages.

I've already disabled all plugins, but it still is slow as hell and becomes somewhat unusable. Downloading all of those 1200 messages would mean to what approx. 1 hour to complete. Previously icedove was much faster and completed this task in 10-30 seconds. Using Squirrelmail together with my IMAP server is fast as usual, so I conclude that it's an icedove problem.

Regards,
Ingo
