Package: git-annex
Version: 4.20130405
Severity: normal

This is really "funny". At some point I have installed
http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Main_Page (running IE under Wine) for
testing...

now, when I issue

git annex webapp

it doesn't launch web-browser via xdg-open or x-www-browser -- it manages to
fire up the "good old" IE for me...

My settings for web.browser of git are not set...

only if I set it
$> git config --get web.browser
/usr/bin/x-www-browser

then it starts to "obey".

I am a bit puzzled on how annex (haskel?) decides on which browser to fire up

apparently I have not done my 'homework' thoroughly -- I did xdg-open on
some file:///tmp/ directories and not file:///*.html files. I did also
xdg-open http://URL -- and that one worked fine opening in
x-www-browser. And indeed it opens file:///*.html using bloody IE
-- so the problem is on my side, thus closing this report - sorry about
noise.
