Original report at <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947639> does not
indicate which version of apt nor what the precise upgrade procedure
was.

Please do not forward such reports from Ubuntu unless there is
sufficient information to demonstrate a current fault in *Debian*. Apt
developers are aware of Launchpad and its bug reports.
