Subject: gnumeric: Cut and paste with keyboard shortcuts doesn't work.
Package: gnumeric
Version: 1.10.8-1squeeze5
Severity: important
*** Please type your report below this line ***
Some time ago cut and paste (using the keyboard shortcuts) broke in
gnumeric. I foolishly assumed someone would notice this glaring
problem and fix it before squeeze was released. Apparently not.
To reproduce:
Enter something in a cell.(hit return)
Click on the cell to select it.
hit ctrl-X to cut the cell. (the cell contents disapears soon
afterwards, along with the dotted selection box - this does not happen
if the menu item Edit->Cut is selected instead of hitting ctrl-X).
move the selction box to a new cell.
Hit ctrl-V or Edit->paste.
Nothing is pasted.
This is a serious impediment to spreadsheet use as it's such a basic
function.
