Package: iraf
Version: 2.11.3-2
Severity: normal
Hi,
I installed iraf and tried to start it up in the usual way -
% mkiraf
% cl
and I get an error saying it cannot find /usr/include/iraf.h
This file is provided by the iraf-dev package and is needed for
the iraf command interpreter to work at all.
But iraf-dev is not listed in the dependencies for this package, at
http://packages.debian.org/stable/science/iraf.html.
In addition, one really needs the iraf-ibin package to do any work
with iraf. I don't understand why it is listed as a 'recommended'.
