--- Begin Message ---Package: inkscape Version: 0.48.3.1-1.1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? I'm trying to import a page from a pdf file * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Just selecting file->import menu, Select a pdf file * What was the outcome of this action? I have a message "Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now." In console I've got that output : $ inkscape Emergency save activated! Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now. If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at www.inkscape.org with a detailed description of the steps leading to the crash, so we can fix it. Segmentation fault * What outcome did you expect instead? Importing pdf as the previous version ! I try with the 0.47.0-2+b1 version (squeeze version) and it works correctly ! Thanks for taking care about that problem. --- Begin Message ---Package: inkscape Followup-For: Bug #692897 Hi! mourad <[email protected]> wrote: > I update this morning inkscape to the unstable version (0.48.4-1) but > unfortunately nothing change... The real issue here is that you mixed too many suites and installed incompatible libraries together; so, in your system you have: ii libpoppler-glib8 0.20.5-1 ii libpoppler19 0.18.4-3 Here, libpoppler-glib8 0.20 brings libpoppler28 (from experimental) with it, messing the stuff installed by testing/unstable suite. To fix this problem, please downgrade libpoppler-glib8 to testing/unstable version. This trick should be enough. Given that this is bug is not related to the package itself, I'm closing this bug report. Anyhow, feel free to reopen it if the issue persists. Cheers. -- Matteo F.
