Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.0.1-1
Ibus is using xinput.d to autostart.
But under gnome-shell, it doesn't start.
I need to start it every time.
It also happens to gnome-shell in Ubuntu PPA.

Hi,
As documented in the bug log, this is user configuration problem.
Just a bit of clarification.
Installation of ibus does not gurantee it to be started. Details are
documented in README.Debian.
Essentially, recommended im-config needs to be installed to start it
automatically under GUI.
For GNOME, both ibus-gtk and ibus-gtk3 which are recommended by ibus.
If user neglect recommends, then he suffer for the result by his choice.
Osamu
PS: I found a different bug in sid ibus package for recommends....
