Of course the *.deb file was created in /usr/src, as expected. AFAICS
the path should be
/usr/src/usr_src/modules/nvidia-kernel/../../../nvidia-kernel-2.6.25_173.08-0_amd64.deb
or just
/usr/src/nvidia-kernel-2.6.25_173.08-0_amd64.deb
