I'm interested in trying icicles, but I'll probably install it from
source, since the package is rather out of date (there's a release in
the last month, and at least in the last few months, there appears to
be active development; I've just not checked the logs further back).
Just on the off-chance that the maintainer doesn't know, icicles
development is mirrored in a git repository:
https://github.com/emacsmirror/icicles
This may offer an easier way to keep the package up to date than
manually checking its web pages, if this isn't already done.
