Package: cpufrequtils
Version: 008-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

As I was trying to use "conservative" governor thru command cpufreq-set -0 -g
*governor* and if I suspend or plugged into ac adapater, the governor will
change itself to the default: "ondemand". In attempt to reconcile this issue,
I've adjusted /etc/default/cpufrequtils to conservative, edit /etc/sysfs.conf
value to conservative and none of these have any effect.

There's a fixed patched in the latest release of kernel 3.11:
https://lkml.org/lkml/2013/7/11/661 and there's a thread that directly dicusses
this bug: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=106608. I hope you found
this a good source of information on patching the bug.

Thanks.

Done. Note that cpufrequtils is only the userspace component of cpufreq
while the bug you pointed at is in the kernel.
