Package: fusion-icon
Version: 0.0.0+git20071028-2
Severity: normal

Hi, I have a few problems with CompizFusion Icon startup under KDE
(after shutting down my system then turning it on again later). I think
that these may be related.

Problem 1: fusion-icon is not automatically started when I log into KDE.

KDE starts up my other apps that were running when I logged out
(Konsole, Konqueror, Comix, etc), but not the fusion-icon. I am
launching it from the KDE start menu (K/System/Compiz Fusion Icon

Problem 2: KDE thinks that fusion-icon hasn't started correctly.

When I launch fusion-icon from the menu, the icon pops up immediately in
my system tray, but the mouse cursor shows a bouncing fusion-icon icon
for a few seconds. This means that KDE is waiting for the program to
start up...

Here are the lines it adds to my .xsession-errors:

 * Detected Session: kde
 * Searching for installed applications...

Problem 3: After it's first startup (after I log in), fusion-icon
incorrectly thinks that 'Compiz' window manager is running.

After launching fusion-icon from the startup menu, if I right-click on
the tray icon, and select "Select Window Manager", the selected option
is "Compiz" (the other, unselected option is KWin)

It was "Compiz" when I logged out, but my window manager is definitely
KWin (after logging in again) despite what the "Select Window Manager"
menu says.

To enable Compiz I need to change the option to KWin first, then back to
Compiz.

David.
