Agreed. At most a feature request - but since John (Pandoc author)
doesn't seem too enthusiastic even about that, I see no relevancy in
keeping this bug open.
Thanks for reporting, nevertheless. Please don't let this discourage
you from filing other bugreports or feature requests in the future.
