Package: powertop
Version: 1.10-2
Severity: important

Powertop suggest enabling AHCI link power management, but this is unsafe
when drives may be hot removed (without additional hardware support).

The Intel ICH9 datasheet says:

"
For reliable device removal notification while in AHCI operation without
the use of interlock switches (surprise removal), interface power
management should be disabled for the associated port. See Section 7.3.1
of the AHCI Specification for more information.
"

so probably just an addition to the tip saying that link power management
should be disabled before hot-removing a drive is sufficient...
