I have tried at home with my Debian Linux as well and also this
pacakage is missing memcached support
2013-08-29 09:16:56 ERROR: pid 13849: memqcached_method cannot be
memcached because pgpool-II is not built with MEMCACHED enabled
Could you possibly recompile and upstream a new fixed version?
