The source contains a copy of this library and uses it without
attempting to use the one provided by the system. The corresponding
lintian tags are overriden. The request to provide a solution has
been reported upstream.
Unfotunately they have a slightly modified copy of the library, so
it's not very feasible for the Debian package to untangle it nor for
upstream to fix it very quickly. Thus leaving this bug report as a
reminder and documentation of the issue.

I requested the removal of ogre (1.7) in the following bug report:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=723866
The bugs that apply to 1.8 have been cloned (some already fixed).
Thanks for the reports and caring about Debian.
Cheers.
