Package: collectd
Version: 5.2.1-1
Severity: normal

The current experimental package for collectd is linked against
libsnmp15; however, libsnmp has been been transitioned to libsnmp30.
This renders the snmp plugin unusable.

    ldd /usr/lib/collectd/snmp.so
        linux-vdso.so.1 (0x00007fffe7340000)
        libnetsnmp.so.15 => not found
        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0
(0x00007ff506c66000)
        libdl.so.2 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdl.so.2 (0x00007ff506a61000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (0x00007ff5066b5000)
        /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007ff5070a1000)

It would be great if the experimental version could be repackaged
to link against libsnmp30, as the experimental collectd has some
critical bugfixes from upstream.

Thanks again for your time and effort in maintaining this package!

5.2 in experimental has been superseded by 5.4 in unstable which is
linked against libsnmp30. Also, in unstable, library transitions will be
handled by binNMUs if needed.

Thanks for reporting this!
