Package: iftop
Version: 0.17-3
Severity: minor

When running iftop in the de_CH.UTF8 locale, the ruler lines are shown as
follows:

12.5Kb 25.0Kb 37.5Kb 50.0Kb
62.5Kb
mqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqvqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqvqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqvqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqvqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq

Maybe this is a problem in ncurses, as well?

Thanks,

Beat Bolli

Hello,

this bug was fixed by Robert Scheck some time ago.

http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/iftop.git/commit/?id=5102331b17d3af0afa372dbf10291706ab023012

The fix was later accepted by upstream and is already included in the
current version of iftop.

When using PuTTY in UTF-8 mode, you have to execute
"NCURSES_NO_UTF8_ACS=1 iftop" in the future.

Thank you for your bug report. I'm closing this bug report now.

Regards,

Markus
