Package: ttf-kochi-gothic-naga10
Version: 0.2.20020727-3
Severity: wishlist
How about having latex bindings for this font in the package?
This would be as simple as: having the font installed to or
linked from /usr/share/texmf/fonts/truetype/kochig/
Ship .tfm files generated with
ttf2tfm kochi-gothic.ttf kochig@Unicode@
in /usr/share/texmf/fonts/tfm/kochig/
And (somehow, I dunno, the tetex-maintainers probably have a way)
add a line like the following to /usr/share/texmf/ttf2pk/ttfonts.map:
kochig@Unicode@ kochi-gothic.ttf
(kochig just happens to be the abbreviation I used I don't think it
really matters. Obviously this also applies to ttf-kochi-mincho and
both -naga10 and non-naga10 variants, but I don't think I need to
submit seperate wishlist bugs? :-)
This would be really nice because the only font setup for CJK-latex's
UTF-8 support is Bitstream's CyberBit, which is not pacakged for
Debian, and must be downloaded from mozilla.org.
To be honest, I'm only just wrapping my head around latex and fonts,
so maybe this is something that defoma can and/or should be handling?

Of course Pacman didn't influence us as kids. If it did,
we'd be running around in darkened rooms, popping pills and
listening to repetitive music.
