Package: cdrecord
Version: 9:1.1.6-1
Severity: important

Noted that this bug is similar to 246647 but see report:
Tried initially with LITEON hardware and various DVD media
All failed. I changed to a NEC Optiarc and may have had one
success with Verbatim DVD-RW media, but was unable to
replicate this success. Failures are as follows:
New, blank media is burned successfully. Once burned, it
is not possible to re-write the media. Different Media
may have different error messages but all fail.
Text below is with Verbatim DVD-RW media.

Some (long) time ago you filed this bug against the cdrecord/mkisofs/cdda2wav
package. In the meantime the package has been replaced by
wodim/genisofs/icedax.

If you can reproduce the same issue with one of the replacing packages (as
released with Debian 7.0 wheezy or later) please reopen and reassign the bug to
the new package and use

    reportbug <new-package>

to send a follow-up containing updated system information.

Please note that unless it is reassigned to an existing package further
information sent to this bug is likely to remain unread, because the bug is
currently not assigned to any existing package.

Thank you for taking time to report bugs found in Debian packages.

Kind regards,
Andrei (with no relation to cdrtools or cdrkit maintenance)
