--- Begin Message ---Package: wmaker Version: 0.80.2-0.2 Severity: normal I've set xmms to be 'unfocusable' in the GNUstep/Defaults/WMWindowAttributes file: XMMS_Player.xmms = { NoAppIcon = Yes; Unfocusable = Yes; } Within a single workspace, this works fine. Alt-tabbing between windows never switches to xmms, and even clicking one of its buttons won't cause the last window to lose focus. However, somemtimes when switching to another workspace, xmms will get focus!?!?! "But wait!", you say, "How do you know that xmms is getting focus instead of the more likely situation where nothing is focused?". Easy. It reacts to any keyboard commands I hit, such as Ctrl-d. This is most annoying when switching between two workspaces which have xterms I'm working in, and after switching workspaces, I have to hit alt-tab for the term to get focus (instead of it automatically having focus, like I'd expect). The easiest way I've found of producing this bug is by switching to a workspace with nothing but xmms. However, I realize that this may be what some consider desired functionality (if only one window exists, give it the focus). I'm much more interested in fixing the case where an xterm has focus when you leave the workspace, but when you return to that workspace, xmms has focus, even though its attribs say its unfocusable. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages wmaker depends on: ii cpp 4:3.3.4-2 The GNU C preprocessor (cpp) ii debianutils 2.8.4 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-14 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libwraster2 0.80.2-0.2 Shared libraries of Window Maker r ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-6 X Window System client libraries m -- no debconf information
