Subject: shellutils: printf does not conform to Single UNIX v2
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bcc:
X-Mailer: bug 3.2.6
Package: shellutils
Version: 2.0-2
Severity: normal
According to the Single UNIX v2 specification, the format argument of
printf must interpret the octal escape sequences \ddd (a backslash
followed by one to three octal digits), whereas the %b conversion
interprets octal escape sequences \0ddd (a backslash followed by 0
followed by zero to three octal digits).
The shellutils printf interprets the \0ddd form in the format argument,
instead of the \ddd form.
