Package: kbd-compat
Version: 1:0.2.3dbs-70
Severity: important

During boot I see this:

Setting preliminary keymap...Configuring /dev/tty1 /dev/tty2 /dev/tty3
/dev/tty4 /dev/tty5 /dev/tty6
The charmap is UTF-8
BackSpace is ^?
kbd_mode is not accessible. Unable to setup unicode/non-unicode keyboard mode.

Later on I see something like this six times:

Usage: setfont [<fontfile>] [-m <mapfile>] [-u <unimapfile>]
          [-o <oldfontfile>] [-om <oldmapfile>] [-ou <oldunimapfile>]
          [-h] [-v] [-V] [-<N>]

After bootup and login I can see UTF-8-chars and I can input them, but
this is not right: Before this bug appeared, I was able to see ”
(U+201D RIGHT DOUBLE QUOTATION MARK) in my text consoles, but now it
is no more possible. There may be also other Unicode cahrs I was able
to see before this bug appeared, but I am no more able to see them. It
seems my font in use do not show right subset of Unicode chars. I
chose a subset suitable for Finnish language.

I suspect that "kbd_mode is not accessible." comes because I have /usr
as separated filesystem. It may be because of bug #556661.
