Package: console-tools
Version: 1:0.2.3dbs-48
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/sbin/vcstime

Right now, whenever I am selecting text with the mouse, the updates of
the clock made by vcstime causes the visual marking of the selected
text to disappear. The selection is still there so that I can paste the
text when I want to. However the disappearance of the visual marking of
the selected text makes it more difficult to adjust the desire text
boundaries and, in general, gives an inconvenient feeling.
Can the updating of the clock be stopped when a selection of text is
being carried out by means of gpm? Perhaps there should be a command line
switch for vcstime which enables the admin to control this feature.
