Package: fileutils
Version: 4.1-2
Severity: wishlist
The -g option specified by the SuSv2 and the Austin Draft is available in
ls in the form of -G. The -g option itself is ignored by ls. The -g
option should be treated identically to -G for SuS compliance.
Please inform the upstream maintainer of this deviation.

Current coreutils seems to be compliant with susv3 spec for ls -g
