--- Begin Message ---Package: e2fsprogs Version: 1.41.9-1 Severity: minor While resizing a large filesystem, I belatedly rediscovered resize2fs's -p option to display progress; given that it is presumably unwise to interrupt and relaunch resize2fs, I would have appreciated the ability to send it a signal requesting it to display its progress after all. (Likewise, it should probably be possible to do the reverse, if only for completeness.) Could you please implement such a feature when you get a chance? --- Begin Message ---tags 568691 wontfix thanks The resize2fs program is one which isn't commonly used, and there is no obvious UI that we could use to signal enabling and disabling the progress bar. Sure, we could send it SIGUSR1 and SIGUSR2, perhaps but that would be not at all obvious, and would almost certainly never get used. - Ted
