Package: synaptic
Version: 0.51-1

Hello,

The 0.51-1 version removed the tabbed properties panel (which stood below
the packege list window in earlier versions) which was quite nice and above
all could be reached quickly and without using the mouse. The new version
now shows only the description of a package in the window below the list and
to reach the dependencies and installed files tabs now requires to right
click on the package name in the list, and then choose Properties, see a
popup opened (and have to close it afterwards), and then choose a tab. Quite
cumbersome to use (especially without a mouse) when you for example want to
go through your list of packages and see the installed files, or its
dependencies or reverse dependencies automatically in the window below,
_without_ having to right click it first and click through a popup window
and closing it for every single package you want to check.

I hope this handy functionality gets back in further versions of synaptic.

Thanks,
A.V.
