Package: emacs21

Severity: minor

$ wget http://etc.cmu.edu/~lentz/chops/emacs-lineno-bug
$ emacs emacs-lineno-bug

  If I hold the down arrow until the cursor reaches the bottom of the
file, the line number display at the bottom of the window changes to
"L??".  It remains L?? even if I use goto-line or M-<.
