Package: util-linux
Version: 2.12-6
Severity: wishlist

I tried to apply the "cryptoloop" patches required for the 2.6 kernel as
specified in

http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/other-formats/html_single/Cryptoloop-HOWTO.html

but the patches fail:

patching file mount/sundries.h

It would be nice to get these patches incorporated within the Debian
package. I'm assuming that they're necessary because if I try to run
the stock package, I get the dreaded "ioctl: LOOP_SET_STATUS: Invalid
argument" error.

This was added to util-linux years ago, and subsequently removed again
recently as the kernel support has been depreciated for years.
