Package: zabbix-server-pgsql
Version: 1:1.8.2-1squeeze2
Severity: normal

I'm trying to use the XMPP media type to send notifications from Zabbix to my
Jabber/XMPP server. However, Zabbix doesn't connect to the server. The logs
contain "Connection failed: Connection refused". Network sniffing shows that
Zabbix only tries to connect to one of the IP addresses associated to the
"hostname" part of the Jabber identifier. It so happens that that IP address
is unreachable because of firewalls, but others would work. Zabbix should
therefore try all addresses in turn until one works.

Even better, Zabbix should honor the SRV records defined in DNS to determine
what host and port to connect to.

Zabbix developers claim that this issue has been fixed in version 1.8.6
so the current Sid version should be fine.
