Steps to reproduce:
0) sudo aptitude install vnc4server xvnc4viewer
1) sudo adduser --home /root/testuser1 --disabled-password --disabled-login 
testuser1
and just hit enter to all questions
2) sudo -i -u testuser1 vnc4server :5
and set password to e.g. 123456
3) sudo -i -u testuser1 gconftool-2 -R /apps/gnome-terminal | grep blink
4) sudo -i -u testuser1 gconftool-2 -s 
/apps/gnome-terminal/profiles/Default/cursor_blink_mode -t string off
5) sudo -i -u testuser1 gconftool-2 -R /apps/gnome-terminal | grep blink
6) xvnc4viewer localhost:5
and enter password set in step 2
7) click gnome-terminal inside VNC

Steps to cleanup:
1) sudo -i -u testuser1 vnc4server -kill :5
2) sudo deluser --remove-home testuser1

Expected results:
7) gnome-terminal cursor does not blink.

Actual results:
3) cursor_blink_mode = system
5) cursor_blink_mode = off
7) gnome-terminal cursor blinks
