Package: synapse
Version: 0.2.10-2
Severity: minor
Hi,
Synapse uses ConsoleKit via its D-Bus interface. It would be nice if
this were expressed by Depends. This report is motivated by the fact
that Ubuntu is transitioning away from consolekit to logind for
session/seat management and therefore it is not guaranteed that users
will have CK installed any more. Debian will likely do a similar
transition soon.
Another good option would be to make use of logind in addition to
consolekit - that way, synapse continues to work with both.
Cheers!
