--- Begin Message ---Package: gkrellm-snmp Version: 0.21-1 Severity: important Hello, I noticed, that gkrellm with gkrellm-snmp continualy grows in size. Since I leave my X session running for many days, it eventualy grows quite large (380MB virtual memory last time). It seems not to do that when snmp module is not loaded. It seems that there is a memory leek triggered by gkrellm-snmp. The allocation speed seems to be a few bytes every time a snmp probe is sent or recieved. The actual bug might be in libsnmp5, gkrellm-snmp or gkrellm, but it's definitely gkrellm-snmp the triggers it, so I am reporting it here. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.24 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ Versions of packages gkrellm-snmp depends on: ii gkrellm 2.1.27-1 Multiple stacked system monitors: ii libatk1.0-0 1.4.1-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libglib2.0-0 2.2.3-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.2.4-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.2.5-2.1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsnmp5 5.1-5 NET SNMP (Simple Network Managemen ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7d-1 SSL shared libraries -- no debconf information ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jan 'Bulb' Hudec <[email protected]>
