Please implement "watch thread" and "ignore thread" for email based
conversations, i.e. mailing lists.
This is currently supported for news only, while the menu entry is
always visible: View -> Threads -> Watched Threads with Unread.

after long time of waiting this feature was implemented by Mozilla in
version 17.0.x.
The usage for this feature is descriped here:

So I think this issue is gone and this report can be closed.
