Package: hexchat
Version: 2.9.6.1-1
Severity: minor

Dear Mr. Rhodes:

In order to set the default URL Handler for "Open Link in Browser", the user
must either have Gnome installed, or use "gvfs-mime", which is available in the
gvfs-bin package.

See
http://hexchat.readthedocs.org/en/latest/faq.html#how-do-i-change-what-browser-is-opened

The default URL handler apparently cannot be set from the
Settings->URL Handlers dialog, and is necessary for both
Right Click->Open Link in Browser and to open a URL with a single-click (from
the gui_url_mod setting).

Apparently also, this package (or one of its dependencies) must remain installed
in order for the setting to continue working.

Therefore, I suggest a Suggests dependency on gvfs-bin. Alternatively, it would
be nice to be able to set the default handler accessible with a single click
from within Hexchat, or outside of Gnome tools.

Thank you for packaging Hexchat. It is a bold new day.

Best regards,
Chris Hagar
