This process uses far too much memory... I suspect a memory leak.
xrestop doesn't show particularly important memory use, so I suppose
it's not in the GUI code itself.
This is particularly annoying on machines with limited amounts of
memory.
FYI, it is running for 8 days now...

Upstream does not want to take care of these bugs as impacted versions
are too old and it is not proven that they have been encountered in
gnome 3 or Gnome >= 2.30.x.
