Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Don't know actually.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
Tried everything I can think of in Settings. Even Settings Editor.
Nothing worked.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
You can't click on Desktop anymore neither see icons or even change wallpaper.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Having a normal desktop with icons and able to change wallpapers.

I believe you want to use the Gnome Classic or Fallback mode or give XFCE4 a
try. Or, get used to Gnome Shell. It's a bit different but many people like it
after they got used to it :) In any case this is not a bug.

cheers,
